Description
A foolproof, no-bake dessert dip that combines whipped cream cheese, caramel, and vanilla for a rich, autumnal treat. Ready in just 20 minutes, it pairs perfectly with crisp apples or graham crackers.
Ingredients
Scale
- 16 oz (450g) full-fat brick-style cream cheese, cold
- 4 tbsp (60ml) heavy whipping cream (36% fat)
- 1/2 cup (60g) powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup (120ml) thick caramel sauce
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 3 large apples (Granny Smith, Honeycrisp, or Fuji), cored and sliced
Instructions
- Unwrap the cream cheese and let it sit for 5-10 minutes to soften slightly. Cut into 4-6 chunks.
- In a medium mixing bowl, combine cream cheese chunks, powdered sugar, heavy cream, and vanilla extract.
- Using a hand mixer or stand mixer on medium-low speed, mix until combined. Increase to medium-high speed and whip for 2-3 minutes until the mixture is smooth, pale, and fluffy.
- Pour in half of the caramel sauce. Switch to a spatula and gently fold the caramel into the cream cheese mixture to create swirls. Do not overmix.
- Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 10 minutes to allow flavors to meld and texture to firm up.
- While the dip chills, wash, core, and slice the apples into wedges.
- Transfer the chilled dip to a serving bowl. Drizzle the remaining caramel on top in a zigzag pattern.
- Serve immediately with apple slices. Optional: sprinkle with flaky sea salt.
Notes
Use full-fat brick-style cream cheese for the best texture; avoid tub spreads. Ensure caramel sauce is thick, not syrupy. The dip can be made up to 24 hours in advance. Do not freeze as the dairy may separate. For best results, chill the dip for at least 10 minutes before serving to help it set.
