Description
A simple, creamy, and comforting pepperoni pizza dip that requires no dough and minimal effort. Perfect for relaxing evenings, this one-dish meal is forgiving, rich, and designed for gentle self-care.
Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups marinara sauce
- 3 cups whole milk mozzarella cheese, shredded (low moisture)
- 1 ½ cups pepperoni slices
- ¼ cup heavy cream
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In an 8-inch round baking dish, pour in the marinara sauce and sprinkle heavy cream over the top. Swirl together to create ribbons.
- Sprinkle garlic powder and dried oregano over the sauce and stir gently.
- Spread half of the shredded mozzarella evenly over the sauce layer.
- Arrange pepperoni slices over the cheese layer, pressing them down lightly.
- Sprinkle the remaining half of the mozzarella evenly over the pepperoni.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and slightly golden.
- Let the dip rest for 5 minutes before serving to allow the cheese to set slightly.
Notes
Shred your own cheese from a block for the best melt; pre-shredded cheese contains anti-caking agents that prevent smooth melting. Do not overbake the pepperoni to avoid it becoming hard chips. Let the dip rest for 5 minutes after baking for easier scooping. This recipe is naturally gluten-free if using certified GF marinara and pepperoni. Do not freeze, as the dairy will separate and become grainy upon thawing.
