Description
A creamy, tangy, and spicy whipped feta dip engineered for meal prep. This no-cook recipe uses hot honey for flavor complexity and cream cheese for stability, making it a high-protein, grab-and-go snack that lasts up to 5 days.
Ingredients
- 8 oz (225g) block feta cheese, drained and patted dry
- 4 oz (115g) full-fat cream cheese, softened to room temperature
- 0.5 cup (120g) plain Greek yogurt (2% or full-fat)
- 0.25 cup (60ml) hot honey, divided (reserve 2 tbsp for serving)
- 1 tbsp (15ml) fresh lemon juice
- 0.5 tsp garlic powder
- 0.25 tsp freshly cracked black pepper
Instructions
- Drain the block of feta cheese thoroughly and pat dry with paper towels to remove excess brine. Cut into cubes.
- Cut the cream cheese into chunks and let it sit at room temperature for 10-15 minutes to soften.
- Add the feta cubes, softened cream cheese, Greek yogurt, lemon juice, garlic powder, and black pepper to a food processor.
- Pulse a few times to break up the feta, then run the processor continuously for 1-2 minutes until the mixture is completely smooth with no visible grains. Scrape down the sides with a spatula as needed.
- With the processor running on low, slowly drizzle in 2 tablespoons of the hot honey. Blend for another 30 seconds to incorporate.
- Taste the dip and adjust seasoning if necessary (add more lemon for tang or honey for heat/spice).
- Transfer the dip into airtight containers. Smooth the top to remove air pockets.
- Seal tightly and label with the date. Store in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
- Serve with the remaining hot honey drizzled on top, alongside raw vegetables, whole-grain crackers, or pita chips.
Notes
[‘Use block feta, not pre-crumbled, to avoid excess water content.’, ‘Ensure cream cheese is softened to room temperature to prevent lumps.’, ‘Feta is naturally salty; taste before adding extra salt.’, ‘The dip can be frozen for up to 2 months, though texture may become slightly grainy after thawing.’, ‘Consume within 3-4 days for optimal flavor and texture.’]
